Make Espresso Coffee at Home
July 3rd, 2007
I’m very happy with my Espresso Machine. EUROLAB Coffee Machine With Grinder.
I got it from deals direct for $99.
It is very good for making just one coffee. Though it is capable of making 2 cups, I wouldn’t recommend this, because it doesn’t “express” evenly between 2 cups, and the frothing device isn’t that powerful to froth the milk required for 2 cups.
It’s much quicker to make yourself a cuppa of instant coffee, but once you try the espresso you’ll never go back. It takes some time to get used to brewing your own espresso coffee, you need to have a process and once you find it works, follow the same steps and try to make it quicker each time.
The process also includes washing up… That’s the boring part of making your own espresso, but once you reduce your times, it should be very easy.
It also tastes much better than any other coffee shop, because YOU made it!
This is my creation!
So is the Eurolab Coffee Machine any good?
For that price, it is really good.
Here are a few cons:
![]()
- The grinder is a bit noisy, but it works quite well, though you have to clean up after grinding. So I recommend grinding a lot of coffee once per week (or so) and keeping stored in container in the fridge.
- Instructions are in very poor. English translated from chinese.
- It’s not really good for making 2 cups.

I usually just make simple coffee, without any machine. 1 in the morning with my wife, then 1 in the tea time with my mom. Sometimes before sleep I’ll take another again. I’m not sure the coffee I drink everyday has lots of caffeine or not, but so far so good for me
27 now.
Anyway, looking forward to buy 1 espresso machine.

Hey there, stumbled across your blog while looking for info on that coffee machine (I bought the same).
Coffee snobs will tell you that any coffee that is ground after about 5 minutes becomes ’stale’ and you should start again… and that you shouldn’t store coffee in the fridge, but a cool, dry, airtight and lightproof container.
I’ve heard of people grinding their coffee two times through with this machine, haven’t tried it yet myself… working with a finer grind might giver better or stronger results, I might give it a go soon…
If you’re looking to spoil yourself with some nice Italian coffee, give Illy a try - I found it at Woolworths, and while it’s about double the price of most other beans, it is worth it! Comes in a cool resealable jar too.
I’m having trouble with the steamer on the Eurolab as it seems to run out of steam pretty quickly… ah well what can you expect for the price hey.
Enjoy

It is very good for making just one coffee. Though it is capable of making 2 cups, but there is no comparison with any other kind of coffee.
Nice machine, just for my pleasure!
Thanks so much!

I hope so - most people stick with instant but I am so sick of instant coffee I gave it up and drink only tea now. I do enjoy coffee from coffee shops so I know the difference - it’s just being bothered with getting a coffee machine.

With such a bad choice of tea in Thailand (I’m ex-pat just moved here), I’m back on the coffee but already sick of instant! Will look for something similar to this in Thailand for a real cup of coffee.

I am glad that you liked this coffee machine as we advertised this product on a website and many people came back with very nasty reviews. One of the main issues was the plasticy taste it produced in the coffee and electrical short circuits with the product. Dealsdirect now seem to have improved the machine quality and have reduced the price to $79 as well. Cheers. Max
